How to Objectively Resolve Caregiver Issues

Caregiver Support

My Mother was an opinionated woman that wanted things done her way. That didn’t change as she grew older and needed caregiver support.

Though I lived hundreds of miles away, caregiver complaints were a frequent topic on our routine phone calls – “she was late”, “she left early”, “she didn’t do what she said she would do”, and so on and so forth.

Now, I checked out each caregiver before I hired them. They all had good reputations, but Mom was adamant about real or perceived issues.

In many situations caregivers have thankless, no-win jobs. Furthermore, my Mom was not an ideal care recipient.

Frankly, I had no way to objectively resolve these emotional issues. However, if I had a way to get objective, real time information, it would have helped a lot. If there had been a way to know exactly when the caregiver arrived and departed; if the caregiver could tell me what she did during the visit; if she could have sent me pictures, alerts, condition changes, home maintenance issues, etc., etc., my stress levels would have been significantly reduced.

I saw the need, and I adapted my Mobile Worker ConnectionSM software to work for folks just like me. We call it Home Care LINK.
